Copper Haze Harley Davidson Night Rod 2009

The Harley-Davidson V-Rod was a groundbreaking model that shook up the traditional Harley image with a modern, muscle-bike flair. Introduced in 2001 as part of Harley’s VRSC (V-Twin Racing Street Custom) line, the V-Rod was designed to merge American cruiser style with high-performance engineering. Its standout feature is the liquid-cooled Revolution engine, a powerful and smooth V-twin developed in collaboration with Porsche, making it a departure from Harley’s air-cooled roots. This engine gives the V-Rod exceptional horsepower and torque for a Harley, allowing for rapid acceleration and a top speed that appeals to adrenaline-seeking riders. However, does V-Rod's appearance create the same hype as its engine? We think not and thats why we decided to give it a twist some of our custom V-Rod parts.

Rear Suspension

The wide rear tire became a common upgrade among the Custom Harley Davidson V-Rod models. In a case like ours, we wanted to fit a 300 width rear tire and a modified rear fork was mandatory. Our custom CNC machined rear fork kit consist of everything thats necessary for the wide rear wheel fitment, including the axles, wider front pulley cover and the number plate holder. To put some extra spice, we also modified the rear pulley, integrating some design element into it. This made it easy to have a paint job flow among the hole motorcycle and make this a truly custom V-Rod.

Body Kit

Copper Haze got dressed with our Photon series full body kit, developed specifically for the V-Rod models. The kit includes rear fender, air box cover, radiator cover, side covers and front fender. For the easy installation of the speedometer we also include the speedometer frame and for the rear we provide with a center taillight. The turn signals, mounted above the rear shocks can be purchased separately, but is a recommended addition to have the seemless flow throughout this whole custom V-Rod body kit.

Other Additions

To finish up the build we had to add some extras all around. Looking at the front, we equiped this Harley Davidson with our custom ReDevoted series headlight cover. The cover is developed for a 5.75" headlight, comes as 3D print and includes all the necessary mounting hardware for an easy install on the 2009-2012 Night Rod triple trees.

To maintain the heavy design we also installed 2" handlebar. To make it stand out we CNC machined custom risers, that would blend in with the fat design. Having these rises also allowed us to have from flexibility in the handlebar position adjustment.

And for the sound our pick was the classic Vance&Hines exhaust. Great design, but got to admit, its crazy loud. Thus we equipped it with a silencer.

Summing it all up, Copper Haze is a budget friendly build that brings out all the necessary characteristics of a custom V-Rod. IT has the flowing body kit, good and low stance, loud exhaust and fat rear tire. Having the simple yet refined accent of the copper makes this bike a head turner on the streets and creates an overall flow of the design.
